Description
This volume contains three surveys of monastic lands in Ireland, carried out by Henry VIII’s commissioners in late 1540 and early 1541. These are supplemented by a fourth manuscript a of the Earl of Kildare’s possessions, beginning in 1518. The surveys and land rental material remain an excellent source for historians of early Tudor Ireland as well as for genealogists.
