Crown Books at Assizes, County Mayo:
Winter Assizes, Mayo, 1889, number 3, Mary Bingham, 'that she on the 16th day of September 1889, did assault one John Bingham thereby occasioning unto him actual bodily harm against the peace..' with a 2nd count charge of common assault against the peace. She pleaded guilty on the 1st count and was not prosecuted on the 2nd count. Mary Walsh was also charged for this offence with the same plea of guilt, both received the same sentence, `to be imprisoned for Four Calendar Months with hard labor from 14th Oct 1889.'
