The Cork Municipal Art Gallery Library contains incomplete sets of 19th century Minute Books, together with newspaper clippings, 19th century-mid twentieth century.

This material includes:

Register of Students giving names, ages, date of entrance and date of departure, the latter not filled in, trade or occupation of father, address and signature of the father and a record of 'success in art' and 'successes in science', the latter not filled in. Includes male and female names.

Minute Book of the Art Committee, October 1883-June 1889, includes references to cheques passed for men and women, includes, for example:Meeting, 17 December 1896, it was resolved to advertise for students for an embroidery class
Meeting, 5 July 1887, a letter was read from a student, Miss Webster, complaining that a shawl she had lent to drape a model had been returned to her torn, Miss Webster was granted the price of the shawl and the torn one became the property of the school.
