Collection DescriptionIncludes minutes of the National Executive and various subcommittees, the parliamentary party and the national youth committee, as well as election material, constituency files, and organisational files. Also contains material relating to the split with Sinn Féin and the party's evolution, the party's involvement with anti-partitition movements in Britain and elsewhere, press cuttings on Northern Ireland, American fundraising and the foundation of the Irish Press newspaper, party periodicals, publications and photographs.

Lemass as Director of Organisation, includes a letter from Kathleen Lynch stating her refusal to vote for Fianna Fáil in the forthcoming elections because Dr Noël Browne is standing for office, 'I would like to add that Dr. Brown is a non-catholic, I would excuse his attitude, but I cannot tolerate a renegade', 7 February 1957.
