127 Letters from Archbishop Murray to M Teresa Ball written between 1820 -1852 includes:

3 May 1814, letter from Mrs Coyney to Dr Murrary agreeing 'to receive Miss Ball as a member of our holy Institute with a view to training her for a Foundress of a house of the same in Dublin'

20 October 1820, letter from Dr Murray to 'my most esteemed Child' Teresa Ball and addressed to Mickle Gate Bary York. He writes of 'the thought which is very near my heart, the work in which God may at some future time employ you for his own glory'4 pages

18 July 1837, includes mention of the new Church, its location, estimated expense. Dr Murray asks would 27 (July) do to lay the foundation stone?

27 November 1839, includes, 'I cannot avoid granting the permission for restoring your little indociles Novice to her Mama'

6 February 1841, includes Dr Murray's comment, 'I believe the Calcutta project is premature. We have not proof that there is any fit place there ready to receive a community of nuns'

11 January 1842, includes, 'Mrs Aikenhead says that she lent you through me her copy of the old Constitutions of York and now requests them'

26 February 1851, a letter from Dr McGettigan, Letterkenny about his niece, Agnes, who hopes to enter Loreto and offering his house to be used as Loreto convent, in Letterkenny
