Contains: Memorandum of agreement between the National Gallery of Ireland and William Smith, executor of the will of Annie Calwell, dated 1898, where she `bequeathed to the Governor and Guardians for the time being of the Natural [sic] Gallery of Ireland the pictures mentioned in the Schedule hereto subject to the condition that none of the said pictures should be at any time removed out of the City of Dublin.' Manuscript copy of part of the will relating to the bequest with other legal documents and correspondence relating to the execution of the bequest. |
