Papers of the Spring Rice family, who were granted the title Lord Monteagle and Baron of Brandon in 1839, are to be found in various places. Limerick Archives has a photocopy of, and has a calendar, National Library Ms 13,400. Thompson, 'Poverty to Promise: The Monteagle emigrants, 1838-1858' (Sydney, 1994).
