Description | Manuscript Book of several scribes, including, Maria Mc Guane, Ennistymon, page 166 and probably 158 (signature only on page 133). Page166 comprises a writing exercise by Maria Mc Guane `the cat a rat dan has a bad pen/go up to bed if you hit my cat/with a rod he will spit and run'. Page 234 has the following entry `Modesty and diffidence are the greatest ornament of a married woman. The characteristics of an engaging temper are mildness and cheerfulnss [sic] . violence of a cruel and intemperate husband'. |
