Includes, entries such as the following example from the master's report to the Board, 3 June 1854: `The master reports that he has received a Post Office Order for 13/- from a woman named [Mubery?] residing in England for the purpose of sending for her child, a pauper in the workhouse aged 7 years. Ordered, That the master do write to this woman and state that the child is not old enough to send unless in charge of some person which the Board are not in a position to do'. |
