| Collection Description | Boards of Health and Public Assistance were established under the Local Government (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1923, in every county except Dublin where Boards of Guardians were extant until 1930. The Boards of Health and Public Assistance took over the functions of the Boards of Guardians and Rural District Councils.
