30 - Letter from Mother Ignatius Croke to her sister. She has just heard that their sister, the Abbess, is in hospital and awaits further news of her condition, she is herself also unwell and asks for prayers and further news of the family, Bathurst, 3 October.

34 - Cardinal Manning to Croke. Sympathises with Croke over the death of his sister, a nun who had worked in the Crimea, Mother Joseph, Westminster, 17 November.
