Description | A box containing the following minute books and material: A bound, handwritten minute book of the Women's Auxiliary Hostel Committee, 17 November 1958-30 March 1976. This minute book includes lists of committee members, those present at meetings, financial statements and minutes discussing the day to day running and administration of the hostel as well as warden's and visitors' reports. For example, the minutes of 17 November 1958 include a visitors report which 'reported everything in good order' at the hostel; the minutes of 6 February 1976 note that 'In view of the fact that No. 21 University Avenue is no longer fulfilling the purpose for which it was originally intended, and that our missionaries do not require it when on furlough, the General Committee of the Irish Baptist Foreign Mission Hereby Resolves to sell the property'. |
