January 1831, letter of Rev. James Marron, Tallanstown, addresses to Most Rev. Dr Curtis, regarding dispensation requested by Miss Coleman.

IV. Education: Includes 23 July 1831 Letter of Mrs B. Moran addressed to Most Rev. Dr Curtis 'with most profound respect I received your Grace's paternal letter. With filial confidence I beg your Grace will pardon my delay in replying to the subject of it; I have read it for the professed sisters - we each have the sincerest and most ardent wish of conforming to whatever could give your Grace pleasure'. Considers that Sister Gernon should undergo the full period of probation, Sister Mary Jane's relatives unable to give her the required dowry for some time to come. 'We remonstrated with her aunt and remarked to her that Your Grace was very desirous of it'.
