Description | Letters of Cardinal Logue addressed to Most Reverend W.J. Walsh, Archbishop of Dublin, as copied by Reverend Dr Toner, includes: 19 December 1898, 'With regard to the Sisters of Mercy in Drogheda, as the Diocese of Meath, I know nothing of how they are circumstanced in their schools'. Relating to the age at which boys are bound to leave their schools. 'What nuns ask therefore is virtually to leave primary education of boys in their hands, and I doubt whether this would be good for the boys.' |
