Description | Undated, letter of Sister M. Philomena, St Paul's addressed to Most Reverend Dr Dixon - 'Mr Mcken? Wrote to me again for money to go on with these law proceedings, and I wrote to Dr Dorrian to know what I should do. I enclose you his answer. It will give you an idea of how truly friendless I am. I really know not what to do. Would it be wrong for me to ask Dr Cullen to take me back to Baggot Street? I think if I were away the Bishop would perhaps do more for he has a great feeling against me, as having built the Convent. I came here knowing we would get nothing from Baggot Street and would not tell him. Do my dear Lord tell me what I am to do and most willingly I will do it'. |
