Collection | Helen Moloney Collection |
Collection Description | Helen Moloney was a stained glass artist by trade and she worked closely though not solely with Architect Liam McCormick for several churches around Ireland. She studied in NCAD and La Grande Chaumiere in Paris. While in Paris she was deeply moved by the stained glass in Notre Dame. Upon her return she then worked as an assistant to Patrick Pollen in his studio beside An Tur Gloine, The Tower of Glass, before then setting up on her own. Helen's work can be found in many churches through Ireland and parts of England, such as St Stephen's church in Killiney, Church of the Holy Family in Southampton, England and St Aengus, Burt, Donegal.
