These records, generally, cover the counties of Cork, Kerry and Limerick. Amongst the material is the
collection relating to the South Presentation Community which was the founding house of the Order.

Description
Documents, 3 items, 1771-1784, includes a photo of the agreement signed by Nano Nagle and the Ursuline Superior Sr Margaret in the presence of Bishop Butler and Fr Francis Moylan in 1771, etc.
Since the beginning of 2017 the Presentation Sisters have begun to centralise their collections in the
Presentation Sisters Congregational Archives in Nano Nagle Place, Douglas Street, Cork. Presently,
there are about 33 collections there. The archive contains collections from the South West Province. At
present these collections are from convents which have closed in the counties of Cork and Kerry.
These collections are catalogued. There are a few uncatalogued collections from convents which are
still open. The archives of the North East Province also store their catalogued collections in Cork.
Some convents hold their own collections. Due to the high age profile of Sisters nowadays access is
not usually provided in the convents and these collections are not catalogued.
We are grateful for the advice offered by Sr Rosarie Lordan.
