| Description | 1796.06/7/1859 Letter. Sister M J McCarthy, Mercy, Queenstown, to Bishop Keane 'I am most grateful for your kind and fatherly reply'. Wrote to a few houses only, as he suggested, and will let him know the result when he comes. A Sister for reception and another for profession. Has favour to ask - that Bishop would sit for portrait for them. Sisters would defray the costs for same, 6 August 1859. |
