Description | 1796.06/31/1860 Letter from Sister M. Patrick, Presentation Convent, Middleton to Bishop Keane. 'Our Postulant has arrived' and is anxious to have Revd Mr O'Flynn to hear her confession. He was away before she left Dublin. Revd J Fitzpatrick thought permission could be got from Dr Russell. The latter sent word that 'nuns are too important to come under any jurisdiction inferior to the episcopal.' Hence this request, 4 October 1860. |
