1796.07/29/1861 Letter from Catherine Buckley, Glantane, to Bishop W Keane in which she pleads her case. 8 years ago she eloped and her parents would not consent to the marriage. She went to America with her husband. They were married there and stayed 5 years. They are back in Glantane parish for 3 years. The parish priest, Revd. T Murray, is insisting that they get married a second time. She refuses. He is saying from the altar that they are giving scandal. She leaves the case in the Bishop's hands, 11 July 1861.
