Collection DescriptionMaterial relating to Eva Gore-Booth, poet, mystic, trade unionist, and suffragist. The sister of Constance Markiewicz, Gore Booth settled in Manchester with her partner, Esther Roper, and became active as a social campaigner in the city, particularly on issues concerning women. She also wrote poetry and ran poetry and drama groups for women workers.

Holograph letters from Eva Gore-Booth to Meredith Starr and other correspondents concerning the occult, reincarnation, poetry, German immigration into England, the social situation in Ireland, and visiting her sister, Countess Markievicz, in Dublin [1916?]. Holograph poems including a poem entitled Roger Casement (not dated).
