Description | 1796.06/11/1864 Letter from Sister M Agatha Hyde, Presentation Convent, Youghal, to Bishop W Keane. `Revd. Mr. Murphy has given me to understand' that only the 200 which her aunt asked for, will be given to her. She would like to go to another Convent on leaving Youghal and would need money for her Noviciate, should she be admitted. She asks the Bishop to give her the £200, the interest on it for the past 8 years and a promise to pay Noviciate expenses, in the event of her being admitted into a community. Revd. Mr England and the older members of the community have told her it is best to leave. She is trying to get a position in a convent and doesn't want' to ask permission to leave until she has found something, 23 February 1864. |
