1796.05/50/1864 Letter from Revd. T Buckley, Castlelyons, to Bishop W Keane. `I have to consult your Lordship' at the request of Revd. McSweeney. A Protestant lady resides with a family in the parish for the past year. She has some lucid moments. She is in great pain and invokes the Blessed Virgin Mary when she is in pain. Her host doesn't know if she has her senses during her lucid movements. She has been asked what minister she would wish for if dying and she would prefer the Catholic priest. Her host is asking to have her received into the Church. What does the Bishop think? If he says yes, would he send the necessary powers to himself and the parish priest, 4 March 1864.
