Includes: Diaries of Agnes Violetta Liddell, 1876 and 1877. They both have records of religious services attended, and the sermons preached. The 1876 one is barely used otherwise apart from a list of literary work - stories, poetry and essays - which A.V.L. had written. It has a small Christmas greeting note inside signed 'Jack', 1880 and the original pencil is present.. The diary for 1877 has some financial calculations, annotated 'all wrong'; a record which suggests A.L. wished to engage in amateur dramatics although her father not keen; eventually 'played a witch in MacBeth. very jolly'; some romance - 'Arthur and I call each other by our f[irst] names'; mentions 'mamma begins at Gaiety Theatre' in October; possible indication of menstrual periods. Personal account book ? of Agnes for 1919-21. Has the name 'J.Mahony' on the front.
