| Description | 1796.05/265/1864 Letter from Revd. M Power, Killeagh to Bishop W Keane. `I have written to Mr Ryan assuring him that Miss Loughlin was not an impostor, that she was authorised by Fr. Power to undertake the distressing and difficult task which her zeal prompted her to undertake. She was imprisoned by `the excessive charity of Mr Ryan & two other priests, who wished to protect the breeches pockets of their parishioners from being opened for any other persons but their own Reverends', 24 November 1864. |
