Personal Correspondence of Peter Kavanagh:
Kav/C/30 Correspondence between Peter Kavanagh and his sister Cecilia. Early letters are mainly of a sociable nature reporting on home news and affairs, and Peter Kavanagh's academic progress. Later letters refer occasionally to Patrick, 1934-1945 and1935-1968.

Kav/C/31 Correspondence between Peter Kavanagh and his sisters Annie and Mary, mainly of a sociable nature informing them of home news. The earlier letters cover the last few years of Patrick's life. Included are the press cutting reporting Patrick's marriage, 19 April 1967, and a photocopy of a letter from Patrick and Katherine to Peter, in which he states that he has been suffering from heart and kidney trouble, 26 May 1967.
Example of the letters:
Mary and Annie to Peter, stating that Patrick had won the English Arts Council Award, 3 October 1967.
Mary and Annie to Peter informing him that Patrick was in the Merrion Nursing Home in Dublin with pneumonia, 29 November 1967.

Kav/C/32 Letters from Peter Kavanagh to Ann Keely, Peter's wife, covering the periods of 'Kavanagh's Weekly', the libel case and Patrick's illness with cancer, February 1952-6 November 1955 and February 1960-12 November 1967.
Examples of letters:
Letter from Peter to Ann Keely stating that 'Kavanagh Weekly' was losing money and creating a lot of excitement, 14 May 1952.
Letter stating that Patrick has a job as a salesman for spraying barns with paint, 9 July 1954.

Kav/C/34 Letters from Ann to Peter Kavanagh, 3 November 1967-27 April 1968.
