14 volumes of bound, typescript and handwritten papers relating to the Newry area, County Down, compiled by Doctor F.C. Crossle and Philip Crossle, 1911-1912.

This collection includes extracts from the local press, notes on local families and copies of wills. For example:

Copies of lists of wills proved in the Prerogative Court of Ireland for residents of County Down, 1536-1810 and 1811-1858.

Copies of wills proved in the diocese of Armagh, 1749-1829.

Copies of wills proved in the diocese of Dromore, 1724-1853.

Copies of wills proved in the diocese of Down, 1797-1857.

Copies of marriage licences granted in the diocese of Armagh, with the names of licensees, 1781-1844.

Notes taken from a manuscript book belonging to Miss Marie L.H. Caussen of Coolreaghs House, Cookstown, which includes notes by Sarah Duff on the Duff, Kennedy, Wallace, McDowell and Ganssen families of the Newry area from 1711-1911, 1911.

Notes on the family of Miss Marie Moore Thompson of Orier House, Omeath, County Louth, 1911.
