Description | An extract from the Ulster Gazette on a court case held in Dublin between Miss Hillock, 'an assistant in the dressmaking establishment of her sister in Armagh [who] sued Dr. Lawless, resident superintendent of Armagh Lunatic Asylum for damages for alleged assault in Cathedral ... [he] laid his hand on the lady's shoulder, and requested her to take another seat; but the plaintiff averred that he behaved with such violence that his act amounted to an assault.'
