Description | Diaries, Volume 2: 1798-1802 Diary entry noting, 'This is the anniversary of my wedding. ...What a wretched thing it is to be separated, on such a day as this, from the dearest object of my life! From her who this hour 9 o['] c[loc]k this time 12 month entrusted the future destiny of her life in my hands! And her on whom the happiness of my life depends!
