Description | 1792.05/3/1817 Letter from Carbery, Baltimore, to M. Collins, Skibereen. Answer to letter received. Knew nothing of Collins, who had applied to him on behalf of poor of those parishes. As usual gave donation for him to Mrs Freke of Baltimore, thinking she would meet him at Sunday mass. She was ill when she received the message and so could not communicate with him. Since his arrival in Baltimore has seen copies of letters of Mr Freke, one of the young ladies resident in the house and one to Mr Horrigan, Coadjutor of these parishes. Nothing in these to merit what was written about by Collins. |
