1795.07/8/1852 Letter from Mary Fitzpatrick to Bishop Murphy, appeals again to have Mass offered. If Bishop knew what hardship that negative decision caused her family he might relent. She would not permit the Mass to be offered except in place and manner appointed solely for purpose. Revd. Mr Keane has been her sole support. His health is always improved in his native air but cannot stay where he cannot say daily Mass. Asks the letter of introduction to one or more American Bishops for her son and family who are going to America to seek a home, 6 February 1852.
