| Description | 1796.04/4/1861 Letter from Bishop C Denvir, Belfast, to Bishop Keane, regarding an incident involving Revd. John Ahern. Father Ahern is accused of grossly insulting some Catholic ladies in their home, in the presence of their parish priest. Police of the town are now on the look-out for Father Ahern, for disorderly behaviour under the influence of drink and for striking a policeman , 27 January 1861. |
