Collection | Bishop W. Keane Papers |
Reference | Box AA |
Description | 1796.06/58/1863 Letter from Sister Philomena Maher, Convent of Mercy, Skibereen, to Bishop Keane. 'We have lately been trying to get the brief annals into some order', asked Bishop M. O'Hea for particulars of dates, etc. Bishop Keane ranks high on the list of benefactors. As he commenced and carried on the building, they would like to have more than just his name to hand down to future generations. Asks him, therefore, to send a sketch of his life. They are immensely grateful for all he has done for them and he is and will be remembered in their prayers. He will be glad to know that all their undertakings are going on most satisfactorily, 8 December 1863. |
