Description | Work of the Ban-Gardaí. Letter from Ard Ceannphort, 21 July 1928, noting 'In Dublin four policewomen are attached to the Garda Síochána. Their principal duties are investigation of offences against women and children, assisting in the presentation of such cases in court, safeguarding female travellers, escorting children to and from places of detention and generally dealing with offences against morality', attached to this letter is a list of the principal duties performed by women police in the Dublin metropolitan Division. |
