Description | Memo about 'Women police in Dublin', 'records show that women police were first employed in the old D[ublin] M[etropolitan] P[olice] in January 1917. Initially there were two but were increased to 4 in 1918 and to 6 in 1919. However, their numbers were reduced to 4 in 1922'. |
