Description

Minutes, 1907-1950, and accounts, 1936-1950, of the Ladies' Association of Ireland founded in Dublin in 1821 to make the Bible better known in the English and Irish languages in remoter parts of large parishes, to maintain schools in poor districts, and to operate a relief fund for the lower classes and those who have known better days.
Committee composed of women. Prayer meetings, fund-raising: ran medical mission:
'Received letter from Mr Grierson, Land agent, Dugort, suggesting that the sick poor on Innisbeagle Island should pay for their medicines' (1907). Paid ferry fare for a nurse to cross the Bull's Mouth as often as necessary. 4 volumes of material
