Description | Dean Carmody 's correspondence includes some letters from women, viz., Maud Clarke (daughter of Canon Richard James Clarke, Rector of Carnmoney, Fellow of Somerville College, Oxford) Coole Glebe, Carnmoney, County Antrim about the problems of establishing the parish boundaries; sends list of rectors and would be glad of additions; personal news. Helen Macnaghton, Runkerry, Bushmills, County Antrim details, including a sketch, of a memorial to Sir Francis Workman Macnaghten [1763-1843]. Maud Pennyfether of Holywood, County Down, seeks Carmody's help in transferring her brother-in-law to a parish in Ulster. Mrs Higgins is anxious to be near her sisters, one of whom is the wife of the Bishop of Meath, John Orr. Collection also contains Inspectors' reports for Hollymount School and Southwell Down Girls' School, and a leaflet 'Suggested Plan for a League of Churches' from Lady Dunalley, Kilboy, Nenagh, County Tipperary. 101 items. |
