133 A file of letters from Mary Agnes Tincker to Fr Russell. Includes a copy of a letter from T.C. Hooker written in Mary Tincker's hand regarding her health, 'When Miss Tincker was in the Manicomio (lunatic asylum) in Rome, she sent for me. In a conversation afterward with the Director.. he said that the affair was a camorra (conspiracy) and in his first conversation with me he said he would not allow certain women to visit her.' On the reverse is a copy of a declaration by the proprietors of a hotel in Rome in which Mary Tincker stayed with regard to her good character. Includes a letter containing biographical details about Mary Tincker. Remarks 'My autobiography will be rather dull, I fear. Refers to her conversion to the Catholic faith, 8 April 1886-12 June 1907, 7 items.
