Description | 149 25 November [ ]-27 June [ ]. A file of letters from Elizabeth Russell to her brother Fr Russell concerning a book by Barry O'Brien on their brother Charles Russell (Lord Russell of Killowen and Lord Chief Justice of England). Expresses her disappointment with the book. Remarks that she wrote a letter to the author expressing her feelings 'The more I think of the book the more I hate it. Nothing has been gained by it except self glorification and money for Mr. O'Brien, who is in my opinion a conceited little man and a deceitful one.. It has given papers like the "Saturday Review" and "The World" a chance of saying nasty things about the Chief that they were ashamed to come out with just after his death', 4 items |
