Reference | N4/ |
Description | 20 16 June 1872. Letter from O'Hagan to his sister Marianne referring to 'Poor [Lady] Dillon - I was indeed very sorry for her - what a pity that she should be taken away from her sons of whom she was so proud just as they were entering into life - But in truth I do not think she cared much to live, even for their sake. Her heart was almost wholly in the other world with her husband'. Also states, 'I have once more changed my county, having been promoted from Leitrim to Clare. This is something of a step, but it will be likely to interfere to some extent with my business.' |
