Description | 28 Letter of condolence to Mrs O'Hagan from Patrick J. Keenan, Resident Commissioner, Tyrone House. Encloses copy of a resolution passed by the Commissioners of National Education on 18 November which states 'The death of their Senior Member, Mr. Justice O'Hagan, in the Thirtieth year of his Commissionership, impresses the Board with a sense of immeasurable loss; - the loss of one who had endeared himself to his colleagues by his gentle and generous nature - the loss of one man who was a foremost authority upon the great problem of Irish National Education; but above all the loss of one whose genius has shed lustre upon his country,' 19 November 1890. |
