Description

Munster Female Bounty Fund, established 1775, 2 volumes of minutes and accounts, being volumes 2 and 3, volume 1 is missing:

1834-1889

1890-1928

This fund was run by males and granted marriage portions to females who had served the Quakers, for example, in volume 2, 11 April 1836, Clonmel, 'A claim for as been made on behalf of Sarah Carroll Doyle late Robinson who was married in Cork on 3rd of 3rd month last to Joshua Doyle, and the necessary certificates being produced the Treasurer is directed to pay her the sum of £75.
