Description | Medical Staff [of the Royal Hospital, Belfast] Minutes: 1865-1874 1875-1905 1905-1937 1947-1950 1951-1953 1953-1956 1956-1958 1958-1961 1961-1965 1965-1969 1969-1971 1972-1984 1985-1993 These bound, handwritten and typed volumes cover topics such as the appointment of staff, patient complaints and the appointment of resident pupils. For example, it was noted that, 'A letter was read from Miss Lillian Bullick regarding accommodation for Lady Medicals (4th Year) who desired to enter as Resident Pupils. It was agreed that the request should be granted', 23 January 1940. The minutes also contain references to 'some of the difficulties under which the nursing staff lived' and the establishment of a sub-committee to improve conditions at the nurses' home, 11 May 1943. |
