Description | Throne [Children's and Convalescent] Hospital, Belfast, Minutes: 1880-1894 1896-1917 1917-1947 Three bound, handwritten and partially typed minute books containing references to staff appointments and resignations, listing those present at meetings, including women and referring to general hospital and staff administration, accommodation for domestic and nursing staff and to the hospital's Ladies' Committee. For example, disappointment was directed towards the Ladies' Committee's resolution that, 'The Ladies consider that any child recommended by one of them should be admitted to the Hospital without being obliged to go to the Royal Hospital ... The Ladies would like to have more control over the staff of servants to diminish or increase them as they consider advisable', 10 January 1880; printed regulations for the hospital's lady superintendent, 27 April 1887. |
