Description | Minutes of the Ladies' Committee [probably of the Throne Hospital, Belfast]: 1963-1974 Bound, typed minute book which lists of those present at committee meetings and contains financial statements, notes on fundraising activities and appeals for voluntary workers. For example, a tribute to the work of the Ladies' Committee noted, 'the limitations of Hospital Finance...it was always a great privilege to turn to the Ladies['] Committee who were always ready and willing to give support. ...The work accomplished by the Committee was a great encouragement to other groups of women. We owe a great debt of gratitude to the Committee and are very conscious of the help given', 7 February 1969. |
