Collection Description | Pembroke Township was created in 1863 and became Pembroke Urban District Council in 1898. The area of jurisdiction covered was the present Donnybrook, Ballsbridge, Sandymount and Ringsend. In 1930 the District area became part of Dublin City. |

Description | The Archive comprises of Commissioners and Council minute books, and records of committees. These include: Old Age Pensions Committee, 1912-1930 Housing Committee, 1911-1926. School Attendance Committee, 1918-1931. UDC/2/C/1-52 Correspondence relating to the: Royal Hospital, Donnybrook relating to the boiler Duties of Pembroke Urban District Council under the Public Health (Medical Treatment for Children) (Ireland) Act, 1926-1928, which includes a report on the deaths of illegitimate children. Provision of school meals, 1923-1925 Housing of the Working Classes, 1919-1922, and miscellaneous correspondence. |
