Description | Includes letter from Margery Rowe in the Barbadoes to her sister [?Mrs William Morgan, Waterford], 20 June 1756, 'It hath pleased God to deal graciously with me, & I have now few other concerns in this life, but what are incident to all parents who have a numerous offspring as I have a son and four daughters, all ?settled, save one, but my care for them is again renewed in their children. I should be glad to see my relations, & native country once more, but age & distance are insurmountable obstacles. However, as we have both a young family, I should be glad our near affinity may be made known to them, for it would give me great joy to embrace any of my sister Morgan's family in this island ... The scribe, my eldest grandson, desires his best regards & wishes may be accepted by his uncle & aunt'. There are 5 items in total. |
