Description | She bequeathed a number of annotated copies of published works by other authors, including: 'Peig Sayers', 1936 Bergin's Poems from Studies, 1918-1926 Also cards and programmes relating to the School of Irish Learning, 1909-1923, of which Miss E. Knott was assistant Secretary by 1920. One of these advertises a 'Summer Course on Practical Irish Phonetics' by Dr Alf Sommerfelt sent to her by R.I. Best as a postcard, on which he wrote: ' ..consider always the serious few, & if a flapper or two have to drop off, it can't be helped'. |
