Description | 'Dying for a Drink': Production Company: Radharc Director: Dermot McCarthy A fictionalised account of the fates of three alcoholics illustrating alcohol related statistics. The characters, two women and one man come from different backgrounds, have different lifestyles and turn to drink for different reasons: one from boredom, one from peer pressure, one to escape unhappiness. The film follows the effects alcohol has on their lives and on the lives of others. Different forces propel each one for treatment, and each of the alcoholics react to treatment in different ways.
