Typescript of National Library Manuscript edited by Brian Fitzgerald for the Irish Manuscripts Commission, 'Correspondence of Emily, Duchess of Leinster,' 1731-1814, volume 5, 'edited ready for press'.

Box 1 includes solicitors' bills of William Ogilvie 1807-1818 and typescript copies letters of miscellaneous correspondents to Emily, Duchess of Leinster, to William Ogilvie and others, 1756- 1826 with a number undated, for example:

Box 2 contains a typescript of 'Light to the Blind', part 1 pages 1-978 with a hand-written letter from Eileen Richardson to Lady Fingall, 18 March 1929, on the typing of the manuscript.

Box 3 contains:
Typescript copies of 59 letters of the Duchess of Leinster to William Ogilvie, 1777-1792 on personal issues, offering family news and expressing her sadness at his absence, for example:
June 5, 1792, `No letter this morning which is always a little disappointment but no fault of yours `that I am sure of, you seem indeed to have no thought but that of obliging me and making me happy, it appears plainly in all your dear letters; how does it happen that after 18 years marriage 'notre commerce soit si vif? but so it is and I think we never loved one another more tenderly than at this moment!'
73 letters of Lady Kildare to the Duchess of Leinster 1773 -1779, a number undated with 1 undated letter to William Ogilvie and 5 letters to Charlotte Fitzgerald, 1 October 1774, and 4 undated.

Box 4 contains:

Box 6 contains typescript copies of letters from:
William Ogilvie to Duchess of Leinster, 1786-1788, a number, 1792, 1794
Mimi Ogilvie to her sister, Cecilia, [2 February 1788]
Duchess of Leinster to William Ogilvie, 11 June 1792-30 July 1792
Duchess of Leinster to Lady Lucy Fitzgerald, 11 October [1794], giving family news, the second part of this letter is in Cecilia Ogilvie's handwriting advising on `engaging your heart upon an `uncertainty'', notably her relationship with Mr Wodehouse and Lady Wodehouse's coldness to her. Cecilia tells Lucy to `converse me on paper as you would over a bit of fire undressing at night -'.
These letters are all described as 'top copy'.
Box 6 also includes letters of Duchess of Leinster, 1 July [1777], 5 July 1777, 9 July 1777, together with solicitors' bills of William Ogilvie, all marked `not to be published'.
Box 6 also includes miscellaneous letters, mostly to the Duchess of Leinster from various family members, 1756-1788, marked 'top copy', also letters from Lady Kildare to Emily Duchess of Leinster, 15 July 1772 - 9 December 1779, 'top copy'.

Box 7 contains a typescript copy of 'Light to the Blind'

Box 8 contains typescript copies of letters of William Ogilvie to Duchess of Leinster, 5 August 1771 -1794, many undated. These appear to be copies of copies.
